“25 years ago my life was on a downward spiral. I was struggling with many issues from my past and present, and could see no other option but suicide. I had no support, no comfort and no help. I felt that as a man I should be able to handle this? But as a man I was also expected to handle it on my own. At my lowest point I said to myself ‘If I survive this rotten life I will do my best to ensure other men in my shoes have the support and help I wasn’t offered’’.
Men in Crisis was my vision back then. Men in Crisis is my reality right now.
